Our first event is this week so it’s time to announce our second speaker: Richard Hamer.
Richard is a game designer and lecturer, currently teaching at the University of the Arts London. He used to work for Sony PlayStation, where he spent close to a decade filling the world with karaoke games, and dancing in booths for European journalists.
He loves first person games, but often finds their stories dissatisfying in ways that are hard to explain. So, Richard’s asking the question: is it just a case of ‘bad’ writing, or is there some fundamental barrier in the relationship between story and perspective?
Do you make games or work in the games industry – interested in attending? Spaces are limited but you can get your free ticket here.
